"Aubert de Vilaine, from the Domaine de la Romanée Conti, in Burgundy, was the first person to be impressed with our wines, back in 1978, during a tasting in Beaumanière. He mentioned it to his importer in the United States, who loved it and began buying our red wines," recalled Eloi and Floriane Dürrbach. "This importer told Robert Parker about us, who then tasted our '82 vintage."

"He really loved it. In fact, ours was the first wine made in the Alpilles that Robert Parker ever wrote about. That was in 1984. It is since then that the name of Trevallon began to forge its reputation. But we were better known abroad than in France.

We were lucky. Some great French chefs, such as Raymond Thuillier, of the Oustau in Baumanière, Pierre Troisgros and Pierre Gagnaire soon included Trevallon wines on their wine menus. We now have more than 600 restaurant customers throughout France and our wines are available at restaurants all over the world."
